Oct. 5 update: See this post below. The server is still running 1.7.3 and will be until 1.9 comes out, and I can confirm that 1.10 won't break the terrain generator again.
Update: I'm testing out the Minecraft server. It's currently online, but it might be restarted over the next couple days.
The Minecraft server is currently offline due to 1) the move as mentioned here and 2) I haven't really taken the time to get it set up. We've backed everything up so the goon world is still entirely intact (plus we run nightly backups), but I have yet to take the time to extract the archives and restart the server. We'll probably be getting around to that tonight or tomorrow. I've got some additional fixes to do beforehand since some of the plugins require architecture-specific drivers and the move was from x86 to x86_64. This shouldn't affect the world, though, because Minecraft largely relies on floats for its world positioning and 32-bit ints for everything else.
Also, 1.8 is due out next week, which means that the server will probably be sticking around on 1.7.3 for a while. Again, if you plan on updating immediately, make a copy of your .minecraft directory.
