I've been sampling the game with Ozmodium and his friend Bowden for a few weeks on and off. The game lacks the convenience that exists in WOW. It is kind of grindy but the multitree talent trees have been interesting. You can choose the talent trees to fit your playstyle and you can have multiple specs of trees. I suppose it doesn't hurt to sample it if you were thinking about trying the game. This weekend is going to be the big death rift finale or next phase. It's been an ongoing event since release is what I'm told. If you do go to try this, make a post here and I'll join up with you on my one of my characters I started. I play on the Hammerlord PVE shard in the North American server group. Currently I only have characters that are Guardians.

I'll be available for play after 6pm MDT since I work Saturdays :-\

Also helps if I list my handles. My existing character names are Valada, Kelshar, and Wieb. You can also do a:
/who "The Closers"
and find my characters in that guild. It's a name eluding to the fact we 'close' rifts in the game.

Suzi is doing the week free-thing and getting a feel for it. I'm holding out but will probably try it too sometime this weekend.

There's no Gnomes in this game which makes it a huge turn-off for me.

But do see you can give your toons pig-tails tho.

I know of a bunch of people who've dumped WoW for Rift. It may not be perfect, but it seems to have value to a lot of people!

I can also do a friend free trial as well since I have a Rift account. Let me know if anyone would like an invite to try the game for a few days and I'll toss it their way. I'm currently in a guild with Ozmodium and Bowden from RONIN. I got Sunder into their guild as well. Figured we WOW players should stick together.

Funny enough, I have like a level 6 Defiant Mage. I might have to join you or convince you to try a Guardian sometime.

I'm pretty sure "Caelian" is an alt I had on the free-weekend account on Guardian side. I nameblocked myself...
