Apparently GitHub has gone full-over retard for "social justice" (did you know "retard" is verboten on GitHub?). I'm all for equal treatment if you have the skill-set to back it up, but hiring a whole gaggle of social-justice-hashtag-of-the-month types whose only job is to examine how they can impose their own twisted philosophies on the open source communities hosted by GitHub is a bit absurd.
They haven't been insulated from push-back, though. Their recent Code of Conduct proposals that were to be enforced on all GitHub-hosted projects have been put on hold. There's a certain irony in a company that predominantly hosts source code imposing their idea of social justice on hosted projects instead of aiming to improve code...
