Not sure if it's possible or not, but is there a way to create an RSS feed of forum posts?

I know it can be done with some ForumBB, but not sure about ones that involve logins.

Just an idea. I can see why it would possibly be a bad idea.

There are (or were) some plugins for phpBB 2 which we're currently running that probably allow you to subscribe to an RSS feed. As it stands, we've been mulling over upgrading to phpBB 3 but have been holding off because of 1) continued security issues with phpBB and 2) the upgrade path isn't exactly fully functional (phpBB's importer scripts don't work very well, and I don't think any of us want to lose all of our posts).

I'm not so sure the forum is really high enough traffic to warrant that, but if I can find a decent feed mod for phpBB 2, I'll see what we can do. There should be several.

Yeah, I see the issue with the traffic, but I'm a big fan of just watching my reader.

Like I said, no big deal. Just thought it might be cool.

Do you use a reader plugin for your browser/browser itself, separate RSS aggregator site, separate client, or what?

Google Reader. I've tried a few reader clients, but I just like the Goog!

I suspect that if I add an RSS feed to the forums, since they won't be sharing cookies with your browser, you'll only be able to access feeds to public forums which is currently just General Chat, Recruitment, and Policies (I think).
