So apparently HP is selling web-connected printers. While they claim you can set up "scheduled printing" for things like online newpapers, there is something more sinister in the works. They're discussing the possibility of targeted advertising, printed directly from your printer. With the price of ink cartridges these days, this is outrageous.
I'm glad I have a "dumb" laser printer. Ink is way too expensive, toner is much cheaper, and I'll be damned if I ever buy a web-connected printer.

I haven't owned a printer in years. My last one melted in the trunk of my car while driving from AZ to Michigan in August heat.

Now that's hilarious. A melting printer...
I got this one to get me through school, but the story of how I obtained it was rather funny. Although, I think it also makes me pity the Staples sales people.
