That's *almost* disturbing... Actually, ~$2.99 [strike](I'm assuming in Euros, so probably almost twice that in dollars)[/strike] is a bit steep just for a transaction. Though, that is pretty smart: I'm sure they're aware of how much the armory gets abused.

Edit: The comma threw me off in their post. Guess I should've scrolled down. Damn European fraction separators.

Oh gosh... I really hate this idea. It will facilitate people who run the AH by OCD checking and re-checking rather than skill becoming even better at repeated undercutting. And we have to pay $3/month for it. This is just really gross.

I play to some degree: WoW (EU now, US before), Guild Wars 2 (EU), SWTOR.

Don't get me wrong: I agree, Tirian. From Blizzard's standpoint, it's brilliant. They get to charge a ridiculous price for auctionwhores and reduce the load on their auction servers.

This gives a little bit too much power to the group of people who have more money than sense. I would almost laugh if some idiot gets into a fatal accident--because he was too busy checking the AH on his iPhone. Let's just hope he doesn't kill or injure any innocent parties in the process.

I can't wait to see what it does to prices.

You know very well this will happen. I'd place a bet on someone we know getting rear-ended by some jackass checking his stacks of Runecloth. This creates a whole new outlet for those people who take the game way too damn seriously to begin with.

I don't think it'll change prices drastically, although I won't have enough historical data to make that determination with any certainty. I do think it'll introduce a significant increase in item availability and price volatility. To illustrate: The rest of us peons can only make auction posts or changes while we're connected. Someone paying $3/mo can keep their cell phone by their bed and take an item off the AH to undercut you while you blissfully sleep, hoping your products will sell.

This might not necessarily hurt the people purchasing items on the AH (it might help), but for those of us who very occasionally sell things, I think it has the potential to make life a lot more difficult.

I think Blizzard just cross the line into the "too far" zone.
