I kept hearing that they were looking toward foxes for the primary influence on female worgen, as they looked to wolves for the males. I think they've managed to find a nice balance... I was expecting them either to go more brutal (and probably have as little success with worgen females as they've had with female dwarves) or go absurdly sexual, and just creep me the hell out.

Playing a Worgen druid is appealing enough to get me back into the game I think. I think the as-yet-unrevealed relationship between worgen and Elune will be really interesting.

Last note -- Sunder, we all know you like your women rough and hairy.

The one they show in cloth armor looks like the Big Bad Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood after he ate grandma.

If you remember doing the quests that took place between Ashenvale, Darnassus, and Duskwood, I think they've already alluded to that. I thought it was a fairly clever way to tie the worgen into the main story, especially since the Scythe of Elune quest chain simply stops once you've found the sentinel's remains. I always thought that series felt a little open-ended. It's good that they're finally going to do something about it!

It sounds like we will learn that the Worgen once had a beneficial relationship with Elune. This may have taken place in Azerothian pre-history, very early Night Elf history (early enough that no or nearly no NE's know about it), or on another planet. As for how they will deal with tying this into the Gilnean humans turned Worgen, we'll have to see! In any case, the rumors I'm hearing are that the historical relationship with Elune and their shapeshifting, bestial nature will be used to explain why Worgen can become druids.

The worgen humans is something of a puzzle. I believe I may have read that it is the consequence of a curse somehow tied to the scythe. Though, that may have been a false memory based on earlier conjecture when we were all discussing the expansion much earlier.

Wouldn't it worry you if that were a name taken by a female gnome?

Edit: Can't find it in the AH, so it's either taken by a lowbie alt, locked (90 day lock period?), or doesn't exist. Better hurry.
