Given what you state, then it seems to me that the coroner's claim of it essentially being the source of his hypertension seems a bit over the top. I can't imagine someone would have heart disease extensive enough to have caused death unless they had a history of hypertension, abused this particular drug, or had a genetic predisposition to it. What's your take on its influence in his death?
I agree that while coronary reports are public knowledge, it's disgusting that the media has plastered this all over. This is particularly true in the case of his family; I'm sure this is the last thing they want to be dragged through--publicly.
But yeah, the media's in it for the shock value. Shock generates higher ratings, higher ratings are symptomatic of greater viewership, and greater viewership leads to higher advertising premiums and demand. And we wonder why the media consists of a bunch of blowhards?
