TeamSpeak 3 is out and they've taken down the TS2 links (hopefully temporarily). As a result, I have posted the older version here:

[strike]Don't download TS3. I haven't managed to get it working with our existing server, so I think they've changed the communication protocols between versions. Don't panic, though. We do not currently have plans to migrate yet as our guild infrastructure is TS2-based.[/strike] See my post below this one.

Update, TS3 isn't backwards compatible with v2.

More updates...

We've installed a TeamSpeak 3 server at blackravendragoons.com for testing purposes. So far, we like what we see. It's really impressive. I don't have the time right now to enumerate all the features, but if you'd like to give it a test, go to TeamSpeak's site grab the appropriate client binary for your operating system (most of you will need the Windows 32 bit client--NOT THE SERVER, so be careful: beta 2 is the client, beta 3 is the server as of this writing) and install it. I'll be posting a setup guide for TS3 shortly.

There remain some minor bugs but nothing that seems to be extraordinary. We don't have migration plans up quite yet, but given the impression Turus and I have had with the initial testing and the new licensing model, I think we may be planning on rolling out a TS3 install for the guild by the new year.

Also: For the rest of you, TeamSpeak 3 is in some ways MUCH easier to configure than TeamSpeak 2. It's going to eliminate many of the repeated problems we've had with guest access.
