Hurricane type winds in Southern New Mexico

Well some bad news. Looks like I might be pretty busy the next few days or weeks. We are experiencing some hurricane type winds here in NM and one of the areas we service was declared a natural disaster. Lots of trees and what not have fallen on our lines and customer's homes. Thal will be out of service for awhile so I'm sure we won't see him online.

Surprise, surprise!
Since we have midget trees, we were pretty safe here. Power was out for about 6 hours, but the wind is crazy bad. Lots of heavy objects outside were either blown over or blown away, so I'm glad I don't live at the higher elevations where the trees are bigger.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's over yet. I've been watching the telephone polls sway like crazy which is worrisome! Those of you in the area--be safe. It's dangerous here.
