It's amazing how missile defense systems will give a winged effect when they scatter from an aircraft. The above link has some very nice pictures of the flares fanning out from several types of aircraft.

It's amazing how beautiful they are when they get sucked into the wing vortices. It really does look like angel wings.
I gave that lich a phylactery shard. Liches love phylactery shards.
