Taking a break from WoW, and some AMAZING PUTIN YOUTUBE

Postby Tirian » Sat Nov 21, 2009 9:49 am

Hi guys,

So, I'm going to state the obvious -- I'm taking a break from WoW. I've been really disgusted with how Blizzard is handling the odd spec-causes-disconnects issue, not even acknowledging it to the vast majority of players with the problem. After receiving a useless response from Tech Support (which also refused to acknowledge the issue) THREE WEEKS after I sent the report, I decided I need a temporary break from spending money on nonexistent customer support.

In the meantime, I'm playing Dragon Age: Origins, and it's amazing! For WoW players, there's also a few inside jokes aimed at our population, and some interesting influences on the UI and power sets that seem to be drawn from WoW as well. For example, my main character is basically a death knight -- a mage with specialties in "arcane warrior," "blood mage" and the spirit tree of magic. I highly recommend it.

So, I don't want to end this just on a boring text, so here's some freaking amazing Putin-love video!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gncW1zqMFgs
I don't think I've posted it before.

At any rate, we will keep your seat warm for ya. Can't watch the video since I'm at work but I'll have to check it out later

Also, you should check out Borderlands. Thal and I have had a blast in that game. Literally.

I've wondered about that game! It's multiplayer?

Definitely multiplayer (up to four people). And it's got character progression. The storyline is a little shallow and pointless, but the shear fun factor of the game certainly trounces any lack in development of the story. In short, there is a story, but it's rather stupid.

The best part is setting fire to the bandits and hearing them yell "put me out!"

Oh, and it's a little like WoW. Each character has 3 talent trees to choose from. I love playing the berserker.

I like the soldier and hunter classes. Lots of neat talents to be had in those :)
Just love it when we headshot and heads pop or we remove limbs. Good stuff!

Also, that video was slightly disturbing.

Negative Ghostrider. My friends have it, and I usually just chill with them and play once a weekend or so! =) I got to level 34ish IRC. My favorite was the Berserker, next to the huntard.

When I get home I'll accept the friends thing. I take it you had the right name to catch me on? Not like I don't have it plastered all over, heh. It's the only handle I like to use in other games.

You got it!

Hell, Thal and I would be willing to start new characters with ya if we do play so that way we are all the same level.
