DDR represents the old Eastern Germany. Interflug translates to "in between flight" So to answer your question, I am not exactly sure where this was actually filmed, except somewhere in the former Eastern Germany. As I lived in Germany, as an American Ciitizen, we wern't alllowed to be within one kilometer of the border. I moved here to the states shortly after the wall came down, so I have actually never been to East Germany. Yet.

Ah, I figured that there are many odd and unusual landmarks around the world. So, it didn't seem too unusual to wonder if you may have visited it at some point!
On the other hand, it might be one peculiar oddity to visit in the future.
