Anti-piracy vid fail?

The video in this is pretty bad. "Don't Copy that floppy" part 2. They don't do a good job of deterring piracy with a silly video like that. I kind of agree with them that the TRUTH commercials are probably more successful than this poor attempt at anti-piracy.

I can't believe I watched the whole thing...

The ironic bit is that these days, the chances of getting roughed up by law enforcement over non-violent crimes are pretty good!

But hey, it's easier to punish some kid than go after real criminals. Clearly, piracy is crime far worse than murder.

I am speachless! What a great video! NOT! What were they thinking. However I did have to watch it to the end like Thal, just to see if it got any better. Yikes!

I'm sorry!

What's almost frightening is that it got worse the longer it went. I didn't think that was possible.

And they wonder why piracy is such a "problem."

Actually, there's something they don't realize: The economy is hurting. They're blaming revenue decreases on piracy, never mind that EVERY study I've seen thusfar has indicated piracy is on the down turn.

They're not going to face the facts but: 1) most software worth pirating sucks anyway, 2) same for most movies, and 3) songs are so cheap and easy to buy from Amazon now that most people are doing that (screw you DRM-ridden iTunes, even if you are selling MP3s--I don't want to have to download a bloated POS bit of software just to buy music from a company whose "I'm a PC/I'm a Mac" commercials were getting old LAST YEAR).

What's sad is the movie industry makes millions more a year because of piracy... Yet they want to bitch about it ;) Good shit...
