complaining about Trade

Postby Tirian » Tue Sep 16, 2008 11:03 pm

Two guys are currently talking in trade chat about A) how one "slept with" his ex's hot friend, not realizing, and oh how cool he is, we are all so impressed and B) how his sister's "hot friend really wants him."

I was so disgusted with the stupidity I logged out.

Just thought I'd share. Where's Legendz for some thoughtful trade convo when I need him?

Fooling around with his hot friend. Said friend is not likely to be female.

Ironically, that's what I told him in trade. My bank alt is really not that popular, no wonder I can't sell anything.

hahahahahahaha

See, that's why I was always quiet on my bank alt. I only ever trolled on my main. But hey, most people thought I was a jerk outside of guild--maybe they were right. Then again, I didn't play the game for them.

I wonder if anyone has an alt named "Mesellubuy?"

I don't know. But according to an anonymous NYSE trader that used to write guides for making money with Auctioneer, naming your bank alt something obviously bank-alt-ish definitely makes people more wary of you and hurts your chances to sell. I've never tested it though (if I had that kind of time, I'd have 5 70's...).

I'd believe it! I wonder if names like "Ripoff" would make customers leery, especially if you undercut other sellers.

Ahhahahaha!

I don't know, but I will say I'm wary of sellers with obvious bank alt names too because that means they're smart enough to have a bank alt

So much for having a DK bank alt named the Cashbringer, I suppose. :( The only other bank alt I could think of would be a Tauren named Cashcow. But it was taken, sadly.
