I pick him up Sunday! Happy-happy, joy-joy! He's 13 months old, but he's already FRIGGIN HUGE! The foster mom says he thinks he's a full grown tiger. I'm getting a big-ass bell for him.

Poodles are so amazingly stupid. I've yet to meet a poodle that didn't bark at its owner after a 5 minute departure.

1. Following orders mindlessly isn't a strong indication of intelligence (I realize it's the measure of "intelligence" for a dog--but computers can be programmed, too, and they are quite stupid).
2. They don't know the poodles I know.
3. Ever seen a poodle bring down a water buffalo? Me neither.

LOL, good points, but I still love my puppy dawgy none-the-less.
She's actually really smart, and won't follow a ridiculous command.
Oh, and my dog could take out a buffalo any day of teh weekz.

I think one of the easiest ways to end the Cat vs Dog argument is to look at their close cousins in the wild.

Wild dogs are usually pack scavengers. Wolves being the only exception I can think of, they usually wander around aimlessly looking for something already dead or dying to eat.

Cats on the other hand will tactically stalk prey, looking for the target that is the easiest to take down, then ruthlessly kill it, many times using advanced strategic plays to achieve their goals.

Cats are INDEED smarter than dogs.

The main reason I don't like cats very much is because they get my allergies going in a heartbeat.
Those of you who know about/have allergies may know what I'm talking about.

It's the hair, in particular that really screws me over.

Their saliva (and dandruff) contains proteins in it that affect people suffering from allergies. It's not the hair per se, but the fact that they coat themselves in protein-containing cat drool that makes it a problem.
