So, I was on Ebay tonight looking for some ideas for new games to surf and try out and stumbled on this auction:

I've heard of people being stupid with online games but really - selling their account for money? Course' when some of my friends ingame heard I was stopping for awhile they wanted my account..But I'd never do that - I planned and still do on coming back sometime. Spent too much work, sweat and...well I can't say blood cause' my main was a Priest

Believe it or not, there's a few people who actually make a pretty penny doing that--as pathetic as it is. (A guy in one of my classes sold his druid. The funny part? He actually asked the guy if he was still using it and offered to buy the account back.)

Anyway, this has been the subject of a few jokes. Whenever you come back, you'll get to hear jokes that go along the lines of "so-and-so must've bought his account on eBay."

Thankfully, though, most people are just 100% clueless. Even without the eBayed accounts.

Ebay is pretty persistant about removing this sort of Auction... they don't like people selling digital items in their auctions

Desperation is a wicked bitch, I'll agree to that. I sold Haiku due to an unexpected financial bind, and if I hadn't, things wouldn't be quite so cheery in the world of me. >_<

Granted, I had bought/sold accounts (usually, I wouldn't even play on them. Simply buying them to turn it for a profit) several times in the past with a lot of success and even more failure. With great risk comes great reward.
