Fun Game (Thal may find interesting)

Postby Snobal » Tue Jul 08, 2008 12:12 am

So a while back I was watching G4 tv and during the mini show called "Indie Games" the host, Adam, spoke of a game called Missile Matador. I thought it looked interesting so I did some research and found the game here.

A file included in the zip labeled 'readme.en.txt' the creator states:

I used Python, PyGame, py2exe for development, and I used Platinum for map editing.

After reading, I thought Thal may find it interesting with his crazy python self. That sounded weird... nevermind.

I thought the game was fun... it took all of 5 minutes to beat the 15 levels, but was fun. [/quote]

Holy crap. I've heard that Python was getting popular for more small games here and there, but I never saw any examples (sounded like over-blown fluff). This is pretty awesome stuff.

Python does have OpenGL bindings, so it's also possible to do something like that. /ponder
I gave that lich a phylactery shard. Liches love phylactery shards.
