LOL
Wow, that was a long time ago. If I didn't know any better (given the invisibility spell), that would have been during Open Beta. Well, assuming the screenshot isn't fabricated. Still, quite funny.
It actually reminds me of the run Turus and I made from Tirisfal Glade to Tarren Mill. We didn't make it all the way (I think we passed SFK and managed to make it into Hillsbrad before getting mauled by spiders). We got stuck in a tower, in fact, and bugged the critter. I think we were about level 13ish at the time. And we had no idea where we were going--that's what made it so fun.
It's often the early part of the game that seems to be the most entertaining--when you first get it and have absolutely no idea what you're doing. Everything's new, there's so much to learn, and you wind up getting yourself killed more often than not. But it's fun. Then you learn more about the game and what each class is intended for--that's when it starts to become more of a complicated issue. The fun is there, it's just different--but it lacks the new sense of "discovery."
Who knows? Maybe that's why I like playing alts from time to time to escape the world of the end game? The newness will never return, but sometimes nostalgia is a worthy replacement.
I gave that lich a phylactery shard. Liches love phylactery shards.
