Apparently teachers and teaching professionals outperform ~80% of all other investors. Presumably this is from their more conservative "hands-off" approach toward personal investments and lesser trading volume than their peers; the healthy dose of caution appears to be tremendously helpful as well.
So, for those of you who are teachers out there (hi, Jargath!), if you ever get sick of teaching, consider a career in investment banking!
