The title is a little misleading: By "torn down," they mean that they obtained tear-down pictures from iFixit. If this little bugger is actually $100 and does what it says, that's kind of impressive.

Supposedly, it'll support XBMC, so you could theoretically use it as a streaming media center for your television (you'd just have to have the movies stored somewhere, like on a file server).
