It looks pretty legit compared to the usual stuff you get from Paypal (minus the URLs the links point to and the FROM address). Well, except for one minor detail: That's not the address I use for Paypal transactions.
I can't imagine how people who aren't quite as familiar with phishing and assorted scams manage to not get zinged, particularly if they weren't lucky enough to grow up with this technology as many of us did.
(Innocent parties have had their e-mail addresses blacked out.)
Yes, this isn't nearly as impressive as waterholing or similar. Heck, it's probably nothing like some of the mail you guys have gotten. I don't get much junk (thank you Google), but the bit that makes it to my spam folder is often ridiculous, sometimes funny, and occasionally (like this) frighteningly accurate.
