Quick Note

Postby Zancarius » Fri Aug 11, 2006 4:05 pm

I've had some stuff come up and certainly won't be on this evening (Friday, Aug 11). I may be on Sunday at the earliest, although I expect my schedule to resume as per normal Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

Also, my university schedule (which is to resume on the 24th of this month) will prohibit me from being able to play during a reasonable timeframe on Tuesdays and Thursdays, if at all. Thus, I will only be able to attend runs scheduled for other days, especially the weekends. I expect to be spending more time trying to finish a content management project that has been evolving very, very slowly for about three-four years and needs to be finished. On the other hand, I am looking for individuals who express familiarity or interest with the following languages and would be willing to be part of an open source project: PHP, HTML (specifically XHTML 1.0 and CSS, the latter is a must), Python, and generally any other type of scripting language, be it shell scripting, Perl, or others not listed here. Graphics artists/designers would also be useful as I expect the interface to eventually look quite clean, attractive, and easy to use.

If you're not familiar with the term "open source," I would highly recommend searching Wikipedia. The CMS will eventually be licensed under the GPL, with smaller parts falling under a BSD-style license where possible. If the system is to be embedded in a commercialized platform, I might consider distributing it under a commercial license, but I would rather keep it free and open.

...and that sort of concludes where I have been for the last week or so, minus my requirements to look after pets/etc while relatives have been visiting my parents. /shudder
I gave that lich a phylactery shard. Liches love phylactery shards.
