That's probably the best thing you could've ever done to it, TBH.

Edit: I think it's ridiculous some people would think it's fake (joking or otherwise). I did something similar to an AOL disk years ago (label side down) and it created a heck of an awesome lightning pattern on the disc. Obviously, there is little understanding of microwaves among the serfs.
