Okay, here's a quick overview on how to use Hijack This so you don't completely bork your system's startup. Remember: changing ANY system settings or files is a dangerous endeavor and one that should not be taken lightly! It's usually only recommended to disable start-up applications/services if they are causing problems or you're running out of physical memory (RAM).
First, grab a copy of Hijack This!--the best source is from Major Geeks.
Next, you'll be confronted with an opening screen that looks something like this:

Click the button indicated by the arrow, and you should see notepad.exe launch, containing all of the data associated with that scan. You can copy and paste the contents of this notepad instance into a new post for us to take a look at.
Next, you'll need to generate a more detailed list of startup entries. (It's probably in the main log, but it won't hurt to have a closer look.)

Click the "config" button on this screen (lower right hand corner), and you'll be greeted with the following:

Click the "generate startup list log" as indicated by the arrow, which will open another notepad instance. As with before, you can copy the contents of this into a new post.
That should be enough information. If not, it's always possible to gather a little bit more.
