Cloudcroft Mountain Lion

Postby Swaagdaddy » Wed Sep 23, 2009 9:08 am

Thank you D for helping me post these!

This is Mark Bailey who owns the Mountain Top Grocery store
in Cloudcroft. He heard his dogs barking and went out to check it out.
They had the lion in the tree. When the lion saw Mark, he jumped out of
the tree and came towards him. His dog attached the lion in the side
which gave Mark enough time to pull his hand gun out (a glock) and shoot the lion 9 times. It did not kill him but disabled
him. He called Game and Fish who finished him off. If it weren't for
Mark's dog, he would have been attacked.

Oh wow, interesting pictures!

I heard about this story via my father who recently took a concealed carry class. According to the instructor there (who may have gotten the number of rounds wrong), the guy had fired 10 times and hit the lion twice. Good thing he was carrying or he'd be dead.
I gave that lich a phylactery shard. Liches love phylactery shards.

Jimminy Christmas, that's terrifying. Good job to your friend, and his dog!

You know, when I worked in northern Maine as a cartographer one summer, I was driving a truck around all the old abandoned logging roads. Everyone was shocked I didn't have a gun in case of bear attack -- it was standard. The day my truck broke down 60 miles from the nearest town, I tell you what, I wished I had been armed. There's just some places where you should be.
Letting the demon do the work for me since 2004.
I play to some degree: WoW (EU now, US before), Guild Wars 2 (EU), SWTOR.
