Who thinks that blizz should make a seperate site for the forums so you can see what is going on with their servers? Since their servers are all the same... you don't know what is going on at all.

I'd guess it's a routing issue (which probably means that some realms in the same data center are going to be difficult to contact).
Their forums should be up, but like Sonikku said--the influx of traffic can easily cripple most setups, even load-balanced.
