So the first official expansion will be live 10/23/15. Assuming work doesn't dominate my time, I will be on in the afternoon to stumble through the content.

From what the timers are suggesting, it looks like it'll be out 1AM MDT. Or thereabouts.
I gave that lich a phylactery shard. Liches love phylactery shards.
