According to Linode, the physical hardware this VPS instance is hosted on was reporting a potential problem that required a restart of this instance. You might not have been able to connect during the evening hours around 8-10PM.

I'd forgotten to restart Postfix as well (and add it to the enabled services), so if you tried to reset your password during this time, you may not have received a reset email. Otherwise, everything should be working just fine.
