Mojang announces name-change support for Minecraft

You'll need to have your Minecraft account migrated to use an email login (rather than your account name) first, but if you're not happy about your in-game name, it looks like you'll be able to change it soon. Names are still unique, however, so obviously the name will need to be something someone else doesn't have.
