Recommended Weekend Horror Movie

To get into the spirit of Halloween for the month of October, I've built this topic to suggest a weekend horror film we should all check out each weekend leading up to Halloween of course. I didn't think to post this last weekend given some events I had to deal with so here we are! I'm thinking something classic and original. If you have access to it, check out "Night of the Living Dead" this weekend. I prefer the original black and white version but if you want to watch the remake from the 80's instead, more power to ya! If anyone wants to suggest another movie, gopher it!

You're right, Ben. I find programming textbooks pretty terrifying, too.

Especially Perl.

Code: Select all
sub setup_driver {
    my ($class, $driver_class) = @_;
    my $h_type;
    foreach $h_type (qw(dr db st)){
        my $h_class = $driver_class."::$h_type";
        no strict 'refs';
        push @{"${h_class}::ISA"},     "DBD::_::$h_type"
            unless UNIVERSAL::isa($h_class, "DBD::_::$h_type");
        # The _mem class stuff is (IIRC) a crufty hack for global destruction
        # timing issues in early versions of perl5 and possibly no longer needed.
        my $mem_class = "DBD::_mem::$h_type";
        push @{"${h_class}_mem::ISA"}, $mem_class
            unless UNIVERSAL::isa("${h_class}_mem", $mem_class)
            or $DBI::PurePerl;
    }
}

(Taken from DBI.pm in the Perl standard distribution.)
