Minecraft: Near Infinite

Minecraft isn't just a chip off the ol' block. It's an addictive and deceptively complicated construction sandbox game. Currently in beta, paid members can play in the game's survival mode (in multiplayer, too!) while building fortifications to protect against zombie hordes--and other baddies that appear during the night.

Minecraft: Near Infinite

Postby Zancarius » Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:47 pm

I remembered a discussion a while back where there was a concern that players were limited to where they could build in terms of distance from the spawn point. As a few of us have mentioned, Minecraft worlds are near infinite (8 times the surface area of Earth). To give you some idea of how this compares to other nearby celestial objects, here's a super-handy map from this thread on Reddit:

That's a lot of area.
I gave that Lich a phylactery shard. Liches love phylactery shards.

Dyslexia: What a load of sith!
