Minecraft isn't just a chip off the ol' block. It's an addictive and deceptively complicated construction sandbox game. Currently in beta, paid members can play in the game's survival mode (in multiplayer, too!) while building fortifications to protect against zombie hordes--and other baddies that appear during the night.

I remembered a discussion a while back where there was a concern that players were limited to where they could build in terms of distance from the spawn point. As a few of us have mentioned, Minecraft worlds are near infinite (8 times the surface area of Earth).
